Do you guys have google accounts? You can sign in with those to post comments.

We wound up doing just pizza and wings for the big party yesterday. We finally got rid of all the chicken fried steak leftovers and now we've got a ton of these left over. I could use something light and healthy tonight. Maybe I'll make a nice lentil soup or a veggie stir fry tonight.

My employer offered this free 'executive health exam' which then offered a free 'personal health coach', whom I talked to last week for the first time. My health is excellent but my BMI could go down a few points. She and I made a goal for a certain number of minutes of exercise 5 days a week and for me to keep the nightly wine down to 3 times a week. She'll check back on my progress Thurs. So I'm off to rack up my daily minutes now.

What are you guys doing for dinner? What do you do for exercise?

(This is Sarah Giaconi; "Leperqueen" is the name I do online auctions under, so that's what my Gmail account has on it).

Last night, I skipped dinner and ended up having fries at a hotel bar. I have family in town who is staying there, and our options were rather limited.

I have a feeling I'll end up having a Totino's "10 for $10" pizza tonight, though I've yet to decide between Classic Pepperoni, Pepperoni Trio, or Three Meat. The key to making them palatable is to cook them for 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees instead of following the directions on the box.

I have a google account, and am taking 532 - Online Searching now. It is a good refresher for all the options that google has to offer. I have used some part of google in almost all my classes now, since I found out it was more than email/search engine.

For exercise, I take my dog for a walk, but it's not really a walk, just a skip, then tug-o-war. At 118 lbs, she can hold her own pretty well. When we get 2 houses from home, she takes the leash in her mouth and walks herself home. (that's the "walk" part) good doggie

Sarah- Is that shorter or longer than recommended cooking time for those pizzas? I always cook mine shorter, and on a cookie sheet. I would need to two of those $1 pizzas plus a salad to be full, I think! Totinos "Party Pizzas" used to be about 79 cents and barely fit on a cookie sheet. Good to hear others are eating pizza.

April- I tried to get in 532 and it was full. So I took Malone's "Scholarly Communication" instead. I like her and will take 532 in spring. What kind of dog do you have? Mine is a little hard on a leash so I take him to a dog park instead, usually. A 'head collar' (made by Gentle Leader or Hilti) helps a lot, if yours is a puller.

Mary,
I got into 532 by asking. I'm graduating in Dec, and one of my other classes got cancelled...so I don't know if I got in (to graduate), or just by asking...might try it?

My dog is a bullmastiff. There is a pic of her in my d2l profile. She does pretty well on a leash, but she is a playful bugger, and so after a while, she gets bored and wants to be in charge. It's totally an "alpha dog" issue. She doesn't really pull (just gets bored, I think), so I have her on a standard leash. I have a Martingale collar, which is a combo nylon collar/choker chain. The chain part is mostly for the noise...doesn't really choke her. I can't take her to the dog park, because she is female-dog aggressive. She would love it, though. She is SOOOOOO social. Way more than I am.

(I agree about eating a mass of Totino's pizza's - I gave up on them, aiming for "better" (and non-oven) frozen food...ha)

Mary - its longer and hotter (I think the box says something like 10-13 minutes at 350).

I always thought a daily wine was good for you. I'm so out of the loop about what is good for you and what isn't. Eggs, milk, butter, cheese... are they good for you or not?

I live mostly on cheese. Bread and cheese, noodles and cheese, crackers and cheese, eggs and cheese, salad with cheese... A former girlfriend and I had a game where we tried to think up foods that weren't better with the addition of cheese.

My old roommate and I once had a similar discussion about cheese, which then moved onto chocolate, and then we made chocolate chip nachos. It was not a success.
